I draw from so many different pantheons in my beliefs and at first described myself as an Eclectic Wiccan whose primary pantheon was Egyptian neteru, but since that time I have been drawn to or experienced numerous different deities, so I guess I felt that maybe using the term Pagan would allow me to draw from all the pantheons. The more I study, the more I realize that each pantheon has very similar deities...just a different name! I would love to study comparitive religions/mythology. Would be awesome!!!!!
Ptah is holding a Was sceptre. It was used in different contexts to mean different things, but typically you will find Gods and Goddesses carrying the Was sceptre as a symbol of power and their divinity...symbolic. The sceptre, if you do a search and find a detailed picture, has the head of a canine on it. Mine is pretty stylized (don't think I could get that detailed at that scale )
I'm thrilled that you asked! I could talk all day about the Egyptians! And here lately I've been drawn to the Norse and the Celtic pantheons which threw me for a loop! I'm so excited to be making new connections and learning new things!
Wow...can I talk or what
